 Quality Control - Precision Results...Every Time!

The Quality Control Department of Precision Stamping Products, Inc. begins work on each customer’s job the moment the order is placed with the sales department. All facets of work required from the ordering and inspection of raw materials, to the approval to ship a finished job to the customer, comes under the watchful eye and step by step, comprehensive programs of the QC department.

The quality control manager at PSP must follow numerous strict company procedures, as well as review and create new programs to meet the ever changing needs and requirements of both existing and new customers. In the final analysis, the Quality Control Department has the last say and approval in determining if every product meets the high quality standards demanded by PSP management, and expected by every customer.

The following are some of the steps we take to insure every product produced by Precision Stamping Products, Inc. meets client specifications and has undergone the most rigid industry quality testing available.

› Inspection of all incoming materials to insure they meet the specifications required and ordered, and have arrived undamaged and ready for production.

› Communicate with the Production Department during the job planning process to coordinate and provide the correct testing equipment for the job and that the required qualified personnel are available to inspect incoming orders.

› Inspect and confirm the first pieces run from a job order meet the specifications from the customer, match all engineering drawings, and authorize the machine operators to either make adjustments or proceed with the job.

› Conduct scheduled inspections during the manufacturing process to again review parts during their production run and confirm specifications are being maintained and the integrity of the product has not changed.

› Do first article inspection and write ups for all customers who have requested and require these documents.

› Do PPAP inspections if needed or required to verify all engineering design and specification requirements are properly understood and that the manufacturing process produces a product consistently meeting these exact requirements during the production run.

› Maintain files with the latest version of each manufactured part and any 1st article or PPAP information required.

› Hold and inspect any returned goods for reported problems or defects, and incorporate any required corrective actions as necessary.

› Maintain all testing devices, gauges and measuring equipment to ISO standards.

› Acquire, maintain, renew and update all certifications for metal chemistry, heat treating, plating and any other certifications requested and required by the customer.

› Inspect all parts that have been sent to approved vendors for specialized special services such as cleaning, deburring, plating, heat treating for quality of service and confirmation of required specifications.

› Execute an ongoing internal program to continually review quality control techniques, update procedures, improve customer satisfaction, and reduce rejected parts due to procedural or QC issues.
